Glenville, WV-- Glenville State College invites all area children to attend the upcoming nationally televised (CBS College Sports) GSC football game, November 5, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. against the Shepherd University Rams. Children have the opportunity to experience a college football game as the Glenville State College hosts NCAA Football’s fifteenth annual ‘Take A Kid to the Game®’ (TAKG) program presented by Coca-Cola and sponsored by other Corporate Champions, AT&T and Pontiac. Kids, ages fourteen and younger, will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket ($5), to watch the Glenville State Pioneers at I.L. Morris Stadium.
Glenville State College is one of more than 200 schools across the nation that is hosting a game in this campaign focused on allowing youth the opportunity to attend college football games. The ‘Take A Kid to the Game®’ program is entering into its fourteenth year in the promotion of collegiate athletics.
“We encourage you to save November 5th on your calendar. Glenville State College is excited about this event where kids from the community will have a chance to be a part of our game day experience and support NCAA Football’s Take A Kid to the Game® program,” Janet Bailey, Athletic Director at Glenville State College said. “This game day experience is an opportunity for children to spend quality time with a parent or role model and learn about sportsmanship that can be demonstrated on the playing field.”
Tickets for this special game are currently available and can be purchased at the Glenville State College ticket office, 304-462-4102. For more information, contact Brent Walters, Director of Football Operations, at 304-462-6223 or brent.walters@glenville.edu.
